Wine description
Made from 100% Malvasia grapes, this golden-coloured delight was inspired by a book written in 1685 by the famous writer and scientist Francesco Redi. Reading this eulogy of the ‘Malvagia di Montegonzi’ started our 15-year quest to reconstruct this deep and ancient wine. After analysing every possible detail, our experts identified a process that faithfully reflects historical winemaking concepts.
The white grapes are not crushed, but left to drain off naturally. Then the must is fermented without skins, under strict temperature control, and decanted twice. Finally, the Malvasia Bianca is refined for only six months in the bottle, preserving its freshness. All in all, we believe it is the most delicious history lesson you will ever taste.
