Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera, Mammolo e Canaiolo

In memory of my grandfather Giuseppe, known as Pepo by his old friends, founder of Cantina I Selvatici back in 1963. After 60 years of activity with my father Fausto, we decided to pay homage to him with a new label dedicated to him and his favourite wine, a typical blend of only Tuscan grapes, characteristic and peculiar to Chianti in the 1980s. My wish came true with the harvest of 2021. In 2023, after two years of ageing, the Chianti Riserva label was replaced by the new ‘SER PEPO Rosso Toscana Igt 2021’. Brilliant ruby colour tending to garnet with age

Aroma

Aromas of cedar, cypress and roses, accompanied by raspberry and cherry.

Taste

The bright flavour of strawberries and cherry liqueur dominates, followed by the secondary flavours of cocoa.

Pairings

Due to its softness, it pairs excellently with all dishes of the Mediterranean diet: from hors d’oeuvres to cured meats, semi-matured cheeses, and grilled or pan-fried white meats.
